Julia's Counseling & Play Therapy Group opened up doors in 2015 with Julia as the solo provider.  Her vision was simple: help families discover root cause of behaviors by provide incredibly tailored, client-focused assessment and treatment while making each child and family feel confident in the treatment plan. Furthermore, her desire to maintain up to date professional development with the latest research on child brain development led her to meet some incredible professionals all across the world that inspired her to expand her business model to treat all ages and ranges of issues.  In order to do this, Julia needed to bring on new therapists with similar values and knowledge of the neurobiology of attachment and relationships.  In 2018, Julia's Counseling & Play Therapy Group re-branded in order to encompass a larger range of ages, but Julia's niche is still children and families! The practice began to grow from there, and we have 2 locations now and an amazing team of therapists that are dedicated to their niche and ensuring client comfort and healing. The reason why the logo has a blue butterfly is when Julia was in the process of deciding to expand or stay a solo provider, she asked the Universe for signs on what actions to take: For 3 days straight she saw a bright solid blue striking butterfly come across her path, and then it landed in front of her feet on a walk for a long moment that made her pause in awe, and this is when she realized this was her sign. Julia's Counseling needed to expand and serve our community, as a blue butterfly symbolizes joy, change and luck; and this is what we hope for us all to experience at Julia's Counseling Group.
